rubashkin1Breaking News: Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin suffered two blows today. As reported, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals declined to hear a petition regarding his appeal to be released on bail.

In addition, jail officials have remanded Sholom Mordechai to solitary confinement for 30 days. Sholom Mordechai, who is currently in the Linn County Correctional Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has been in solitary confinement since last week.  (Read Matzav.com‘s initial report here.)

Noteworthy is the fact that the prison administration has shown a great deal of sensitivity to Mr. Rubashkin’s many religious needs. Thank G-d, the prison administrator is known to be a very reasonable and fair person. Community leaders are confident that under his guidance, this issue will be resolved shortly G-d willing.

May Hashem watch over Sholom Mordechai.

Please continue to daven for Reb Shalom Mordechai ben Rivkah.

  1. #3:

    DON’T

All you’ll do is make it harder for him and all current and future Jewish inmates. Let cooler heads do what is legally and prudently necessary to be done.

  2. My goodness this gulus is just getting darker and darker just yesterday a jew gets killed al kidush hashem after recieving a very poor hearing ignoring his mental state at the time of the crime and now reb shulom rubashkin hatsadik is being kept in solitary confinment after being confronted by a thug and beatin then punished for being beaten my goodness how this almost sounds like nazi germany I hate to say it and I heard from A holecaust survivor recently regarding the boys being held in japan in solitary confinement that being held in solitary confinement is in a way worse then his treatment in aushwitz because at least in aushwitz they had each other to give each other chizuk so this gulus is getting worse oy hashem have we as a nation not suffered enough

  3. #4 – I would agree with you, that’s why I didn’t do it myself – but since this all started, the “cooler heads” did nothing about this yet. How much longer does Reb Shalom Mordechai need to wait till we start doing something about all the abuse, unjust that’s being done to him?

  4. I personally can’t understand how this is legal. He wasn’t indicted! Why do other accused get bail and have the ability to wait at home until the trial is concluded. This is tremendous injustice!

  5. While I am sure the various communal organization and askanim are all they can on behalf of Reb Shalom Mordechai It would seem we are not as welcome or respected or accepted as we thought we were.
Maybe it is time to say goodbye to the US of A
    and go home.

  6. This is all b/c of that other “Jewish” website yemach shamam. They called up the prison to find out more information and told the prison about what SM is claiming. In their article they write that the prison got upset about this – not knowing about until they called them. Afterward, others were told that the prison was upset. Who gave them the reshus to call the goyishe prison and risk another yid’s life? What are they AP or CNN? This is another Jewish person’s life at stake!

Time and time again, it seems that that website puts the lives of fellow yidin at stake for the sake of one of the greatest evils of our days – NEWS.

  7. Sholom Rubashkin has been ordered to now sit for 30 days in solitary confinement.

This means that he is in a room as small as a closet; not chair or table, just a cement floor. He is given a thin mattress from 10pm to 5am when he is awaken and it’s taken from him. He only gets to speak to anyone for 45 minutes a day.
