Last Friday night, Yosef Salomon, along with two of his children, were murdered by their Shabbos table, where they had gathered to celebrate the birth of a new baby boy addition to the Salomon mishpacha.
Earlier today, in a remarkable show of unity and strength, a large crowd of friends and family, who had earlier this week come together for the levayos of the three victims hy”d, assembled once again, this time to celebrate the bris of the baby.
The baby was named Yosef for his grandfather who was murdered celebrating his arrival. The name Ari, for his mother’s late grandfather, was also given.
Former Chief Rabbi of Israel, Yisrael Meir Lau, honored the family by traveling to Elad to take part in the ceremony.
“We have chosen to hold such a public event so that the Salomon family will be remembered as a happy family and united, not mournful and torn,” said Shmuel, the father of the child.
