British Airways Plane Narrowly Misses Tourists’ Heads During Terrifyingly Low Landing

Hair-raising video of a plane making a super low landing at Skiathos Airport has revealed just how dangerous taking plane selfies can be.

The new footage showed a British Airways aircraft coming into land at the Greek airport just feet from spectators.

As the aircraft, an Embraer E190 whizzed past hoards of people with cameras and many were forced to duck for cover.

  1. The plane is not as low/close to the heads of the people as it looks like in the picture. It is several addition feet higher. The reason is since the camera is lower in height that the people and they are closer to the camera than the plane is, it gives a closer affect.

  2. The wheels are maybe 10 feet above the ground, which is much lower than the 30-50 feet that the plane should be as it crosses the threshold.
