  1. Who needs criminals when you have cross eyed, shaky hands cops spraying the entire magazine in every direction. Well, as cops say they have to make it home safe; guess bystanders can be sacrificed for that goal.

    >> Your comment is completely obnoxious. A tragedy happened on the street when an officer, risking his life in an undercover gun deal, faced the barrel of a criminal’s weapon. If you were THAT cop, would you be crying out about your guilt at accidentally killing an innocent pedestrian. I don’t think so!

You know, there are an increasing number of frum young people joining the NYPD (it’s a respectable job with a “shomer shabbos” program, good benefits and a dependable retirement plan). I personally know a few. Like all working frum yidden, a large part of their pay goes toward yeshiva tuition. And yeah, they want to come home, alive, to their spouses and children at the end of a working day. I guarantee you that EVERY ONE of the guys I know on the force would find your comment obnoxious, too.

  3. Dear Shua, I won’t insult the obnoxious people of the world by referring to you as obnoxious. Perhaps the cops should have taken bystanders into consideration: A) when planning an undercover gun bust in a busy street , B) when training to shoot an entire magazine and ignoring any accuracy. The bottom line is: if you and I would have demonstrated half the disregard for human life, we would have been prosecuted for manslaughter. Cops will walk away free; you can’t have a legal double standard in a civilized society. As far as your claim that NYPD is some sort of a Jew loving entity – your facts are all wrong – there are very few frum cops, they have to fight for every Shabos and Yom Tov, they have to constantly watch their back due to prevailing NYPD anti-Semitism. Unlike you, my facts come from original sources and first hand experience. The culture of corruption and double standard can affect us all. Remember, next time it could be you that succumbs to, for example, a drunk cop running a red light.
