Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz told MK Menachem Eliezer Moses of UTJ that visitors to Meron would soon be able to ascend to Rabi Shimon Bar Yochai’s kever in a cable car. Katz instructed his staff to prepare plans for the project.
“The cable car will help the crowds reach the mountain quickly, conveniently and enjoyably,” Katz said. “This will significantly shorten the time it takes to get there and transport 2,400 passengers per hour.”
