President Donald Trump fueled new speculation about a possible return to military action against Iran after posting a mysterious message on Truth Social Saturday alongside an AI-generated image depicting rising tensions at sea.

The image shared by Trump showed the president standing beside a U.S. Navy admiral against a backdrop of stormy waters and several naval vessels, including one carrying the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Above the image appeared the message: “It was calm before the storm.”

The post quickly sparked fresh discussion about whether the United States could soon resume strikes against Iran amid growing signs of escalating military preparations.

Earlier Saturday, The New York Times reported that both the United States and Israel are actively preparing for the possibility of renewed attacks on Iran as soon as next week.

According to the report, the current military buildup is believed to be the largest since the ceasefire between the sides took effect.

Speaking Friday aboard Air Force One while returning from his trip to China, Trump suggested he could support a 20-year freeze on Iran’s nuclear activities, though he insisted any agreement would require strong and enforceable guarantees from Tehran.

During the exchange with reporters, Trump was asked whether he had rejected Iran’s latest proposal.

“Well, I looked at it, and if I don’t like the first sentence, I just throw it away,” the President replied, explaining that the first sentence of the Iranian proposal was “an unacceptable sentence because they fully agree, no nuclear, and if they have any nuclear of any form, I don’t read the rest of their letter.

Trump was also asked whether a 20-year moratorium on Iran’s nuclear program would satisfy him.

“No, 20 years is enough, but the level of guarantee from them is not enough. In other words, it’s got to be a real 20 years, not a fake 20.”

In an interview Thursday with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump warned that his patience with Iran was running out and urged Tehran to agree to a deal.

“I’m not going to be much more patient. No, I’m not. They should make a deal. Any sane person would make a deal, but they might be crazy,” Trump clarified.

The Hannity interview aired just hours after Trump hinted in another Truth Social post that military operations against Iran may not be over and that additional strikes against the regime remained possible.

Those remarks came following Trump’s diplomatic visit to China, where Iran reportedly remained one of the central topics under discussion.

  1. Uh oh. Does that mean there’s a good chance that they are going to close the airport again and all flights in and out of Israel will be stopped?!
