The CEO of Cambridge Analytica was suspended by the research firm’s board of directors on Tuesday following a video published by a London media outlet that showed him discussing the use of bribes to sway political elections.
The move also comes in the wake of reports that the firm, which did work for the Trump campaign, had improperly obtained data on 50 million Facebook users without their consent. The company has denied any wrongdoing and said that the data was not used to help elect the president.
