Cancer Fighting Eggs

Japanese researchers from the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology have genetically engineered chickens to produce eggs containing the interferon beta protein,which fights malignant skin cancer and hepatitis. Three such chickens are already laying eggs every day or two.

If the program is successful, the eggs will be used as a cheap supply of the special protein.
