OceanGate Expeditions continues to promote trips to explore the Titanic shipwreck on its website, even after its submersible suffered a catastrophic failure during its deep-sea expedition, resulting in the tragic loss of all five individuals on board.
According to the company’s website, they offer two missions to the Titanic in 2024, specifically from June 12 to June 20 and from June 21 to June 29. The cost per person for these ventures is $250,000, which covers a single dive in a submersible, private accommodations, comprehensive training, expedition gear, and all meals during the expedition.
The initial day of the itinerary begins in St. John’s, a coastal city in Newfoundland, Canada. Participants will meet the expedition crew and board the designated vessel that will transport them to the site of the RMS Titanic wreck. This day involves familiarizing oneself with life on the working vessel while embarking on a 400-nautical-mile journey to the wreckage location.
The following day involves sailing across the North Atlantic towards the dive site. Subsequently, the mission unfolds over the subsequent four days, with the submersible descending to the wreck, which rests at a depth of 12,500 feet. Pieces of the Titan, the ill-fated submersible, were recovered on Wednesday, along with presumed human remains. Throughout this phase, a content expert on board will provide insights into significant features of the wreck and the diverse marine life inhabiting this part of the ocean. Participants will have ample time to explore the wreck and debris field before resurfacing, which takes approximately two hours.
OceanGate lists French Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, who tragically perished in the disaster, as one of the potential “content experts” who may join the expedition. Nargeolet, recognized as “Titanic’s Greatest Explorer,” led multiple expeditions to the Titanic wreck site and delivered lectures at various Titanic exhibitions worldwide.
The fatal implosion on June 18 claimed the lives of OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, British billionaire Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood, and his son, Sulaiman Dawood. The scrutiny surrounding Rush, who piloted the ill-fated submersible, has intensified due to allegations of disregarding significant safety concerns while charging affluent tourists $250,000 per person for the opportunity to visit the iconic wreck.
The US Coast Guard announced the discovery of “presumed human remains” in the recovered debris, which was retrieved by Pelagic Research Services, a Massachusetts-based company specializing in deep-sea rescue equipment. The Marine Board of Investigation plans to transfer the evidence to an American port aboard a Coast Guard cutter for further analysis and testing.
As of this morning, the listings for the 2024 missions remained visible on OceanGate’s website.

I still see planes flying in the sky even after there were plane crashes. Whats the difference?
What percentage of planes crash? What percentage of missions to the Titanic resulted in the death of everyone on board? That is the difference.
saw the idiot on BBC a few days ago, he thinks he can go on as if nothing has happened, he does not realize he’s going to jail…..
What do you want? The guy in charge perished. Was probably a one man show there’s no one to update the website.
still shocking that a shareholder would go and give interviews that their operations will continue.
This is clearly a mission that was planned before the tragedy, as they are advertising dead guides.
So what exactly is the story here? That they didn’t dismantle the website yet? Not exactly shocking that after the CEO dies that way, they are a little disorganized….
What we’ve learned from Covid vaccines and the lemechels that took them, there are enough dumb idiots out there that will do dangerous things regardless of what happened to those who tried it before them.
Actually what we’ve learned from Covid vaccines is that the media is lying through their teeth and nothing they say is factual, including the submersible and trips to the Titanic and not because it’s dangerous. If you follow conspiracy / alternative news, you learn what’s really happening. The 5 billionaires that were downed were criminals and taken out. The media’s Titanic trips is a lie. Do your own research why.
Yea…website was not updated yet …
No new trips ..
Doubt the company will stay open any longer …
