Members of the United States Capitol Police on Friday issued an anticipated vote of no confidence in its top leaders over the Jan. 6 riot, CNN reported.

The news outlet reported that the force’s seven leaders – including acting Chief Yoganada Pittman, two assistant chiefs, three deputy chiefs and a captain of the division that staffs the Capitol – each recieved a vote of no confidence, according to sources that shared the vote tallies with CNN.

“It’s been just over one month since one of our nation’s darkest days, and the trauma is still incredibly raw and difficult for the many officers who fought heroically on the 6th,” Pittman said in a statement, according to CNN. “Since being sworn in on January 8th, my executive team and I have made the well-being of our officers our top priority.

“While progress has been made, more work remains,” Pittman added. “And I am committed to ensuring every officer gets what they need and deserve.”

  1. Pittman says he is “committed to ensuring every officer gets what they need and deserve.”
Well, they’re not going to get what they need under Biden. Let’s not forget it was Trump who reversed an Obama-era policy that removed restrictions on the kinds of surplus military gear the Defense Department can turn over to local police departments.
As one sheriff told former Attorney General Jeff Sessions: “Due to the [Obama] administration’s restrictions, the federal government made his department return an armored vehicle that can change the dynamics of an active shooter situation.”
Mr. Pittman, the money needed to provide you and your officers with what you need will now be used to provide green energy to Biden’s basement bunker and to provide Iran with extra cash to build up its proxy armies with the very supplies your officers need.
    Good luck, Mr. Pittman.

  2. Let me clarify my previous comment, which, due to the way I wrote it, might have given the wrong impression. Clarification: It was an Obama era policy that placed restrictions on the kinds of surplus military gear the Defense Department can turn over to local police departments. Trump removed those restrictions. Sorry, if I didn’t explain myself well. I hope no one got the info mixed up. My bad. I repent.
