New guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 can safely visit with other vaccinated people and small groups of unvaccinated people in some circumstances, but there are still important safety precautions needed.

The CDC defines people who are fully vaccinated as those who are two weeks past their second dose of the Moderna and Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine or two weeks past a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The CDC says fully vaccinated people can:
  • Visit other vaccinated people indoors without masks or physical distancing
  • Visit indoors with unvaccinated people from a single household without masks or physical distancing, if the unvaccinated people are at low risk for severe disease.
  • Skip quarantine and testing if exposed to someone who has Covid-19 but are asymptomatic, but should monitor for symptoms for 14 days

  1. No no no. You must wear your mask forever and ever! You must not ever enter into Shul again! You are mamesh a rodef and rotziach and it’s a chiyuv to be maaser on them!

  2. Will “fully vaccinated” people not become sick ever again and live forever? Or they’ll continue blaming it on a “new variant”, a “new mutation” for which they’ll need to get another vaccination?

    • Too early to tell, they don’t yet if it’s for life, (probably not). Or more likely need a booster every year till herd immunity and this fizzles out. Or with variants maybe a booster every year with formula tweaked based on variants just like the yearly flu shot.

    • Comments here show why so many frum Jews have died from this terrible pandemic. HaShem empowered us to find ways to reduce our risk but we rejected them.

  3. By the way someone used my name to for the above comment but it wasn’t me. And btw I don’t usually read most of the other comments partly so as not to be influenced by people that aren’t experts. So I don’t know if its being done other times too. So in case you want to make sure if it’s good info, just check the cdc website. Also Thanks so much for publishing this post from the cdc. Let’s just listen to the medical experts and not to our own ideas. It would be tragic to find out in a few years when it’s too late that we should have listened
