Chacham Ovadiah’s Chair Empty As Weekly Shiur Is Held

The empty chair represented the void that is felt in the hearts of so many around the world.

Last night, Chacham Ovadiah Yosef’s traditional Motzoei Shabbos shiur was delivered by his son, Sefardic Chief Rabbi Rav Yitzchak Yosef, and attended by his other sons.

The shiur, featuring divrei zikaron, was delivered from the mourning tent outside Rav Ovadiah’s home in Yerushalayim.

Hundreds of people watched the drashah as it was broadcast on a screen outdoors for the overflow crowd.
