candle-small5It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Chaim Reuven Dovid Herbst a”h, who was injured by live wires in Monsey, NY, during Hurricane Irene. The six-year-old passed away this afternoon just a week after doctors had said that his body was healing and that he was making remarkable progress in his recovery.

65% of the boy’s body was burnt during the incident near Merric Drive in Spring Valley, NY, that took the life of Reb Moshe Reichenberg z”l.

Chaim Reuven Dovid was in very serious condition at  the pediatric burn unit at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, having been taken by land with a police escort to the hospital because helicopters were grounded. It took 20 minutes to get him there.

His father, Reb Yehuda Herbst, tried to help and was burned by the wire near the family’s home at Merrick Drive and Union Road. He was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern and released. The name Chaim was added to the boy’s name as a zechus for his recovery.

Reb Moshe Reichenberg z”l was assisting the boy when he came in contact with the live wires that had fallen. He was electrocuted trying to help the child.

Umacha Hashem dimah mei’al kol ponim.

  1. will this bring klal yisroel to confess & start doing teshuva OR do we even think we can fool Hashem that we don’t get his wake-up message for teshuva?

THINK ABOUT IT & ITS UP TO US TO DECIDE IF WE WANT TO END ALL TRAGEDIES.

    MAY MASHIACH BE HERE ASAP
