As expected, there is chaos on the road of Israel leading to Meron, as police have blocked entry to the mountain and the areas around it.
Eyewitnesses report that many busses and thousands of people, including many of whom have tickets to Har Meron for Lag Ba’omer, are stranded on the dark roads, with no food, no water, no restrooms, and no one to talk to in order to address the situation.
Adults and children who traveled more than 5 hours are stuck, as this controversy-filled Lag Ba’omer gets underway.
Although there are a few thousand people on the mountain itself, in the parking lot near Elifelet there are thousands of people, including women and children, who are stuck after the authorities decided to block the mountain.
The Boyaner chassidus decided to shorten the Rebbe’s hadlakah almost by an hour due to the decision of the police and superiors not to bring crowds to the mountain until the lighting is completed.
MK Meir Porush responded to what is happening in Meron: “I’m getting reports of what is happening. There are as many security forces there as there are celebrants. We must not forget those who failed here.”
MK Michael Malkieli reacted sharply to the difficulties posed by the authorities: “Thousands of passengers, men, women and children, have been stuck in parking lots for more than three hours, even though Har Meron has not met the capacity stipulated in the regulations. The chareidi media should cover this scandal and help resolve the matter.”

This is terrible. Trump should resign.
tziyonim are terrible
Terrible? Is this the best word you can describe murderers?
what a joke
Hello my dear friends, I am not 100% positive what is the message from Hashem.
I was thinking that maybe maybe ( 2 times maybe) Hashem would like us to cry for Mashiach or at least cry for the 45 Kedoshim that died in Meron and we can also cry for the few people that got injured in Meron that are still in the hospital ( yes, I said the word “hospital”) as of today. In the merit of our sincere tears, Hashem will send Mashiach and Rebbe Shimon Bar Yochai will come to Yerushalaim and we will all dance together. Meron will be history through our sincere tears.
beautiful thank you amen
Better than being crushed to death.
Have you heard anyone being crushed to death before last year’s massacre?
There was another disaster at Lag Baomer/Meron with multiple fatalities in the early 1900’s, way before the state of Israel was established.
keep the police away and nobody gets crushed
Having watched the video this evening of the lighting of 45 candles for those who lost their lives last year at מירון, followed by the lighting a light for רשב”י on his Yohrzeit, the mood is very different and there is a true sense of אחדות.
זכותם יגן עלינו
Why didn’t they go to the hadloookeh of Reb Mylich Biederman in Bays Sheymesh?
The holy Tanne Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai is buried in Meron not in Beit Shemesh.
If not Meron, might as well stay home.
Why don’t you rather ask why the Zionist suddenly decided to take control causing chaos and death?
Where are the protests all over Israel?
While this was quite predictable, is there a way to fix it at least for now?
Overthrow the evil government whose power is only against religious Jews.
There’s no way things can go back to normal. Certain tekufot changed the world forever. The events of 9-11 changed travel, Covid restrictions changed many things, and they won’t be normal again.
Meron will go back to normal once the government behind the chaos are dealt with.
