Rep. Charlie Rangel, D-N.Y., told a local CBS station Wednesday he wanted to stay in office while President Obama was completing his term, NEWSMAX reports.
The 85-year-old lawmaker has spent nearly 50 years on Capitol Hill. He wanted to leave office at the same time as the first black president, and survived a bruising primary in 2014 to do so.
