Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Monday said he got a call from Jordanian King Abdullah II wishing him well after he was hospitalized for COVID-19.
The Republican told the Star-Ledger that he spoke with the king for about 10 minutes and was invited to visit the Arab kingdom when he recovers.
“Chris, I’m concerned about you and wanted to be sure you’re OK,” the king said, according to Christie.
“Your majesty, I really appreciate the call,” Christie says he replied.
