Chris Christie, the former governor of New Jersey, appeared on ABC’s This Week on Sunday and described the Trump administration as operating like a “clown car.”
The conversation began when host Martha Raddatz introduced the topic of Elon Musk’s recent order to federal employees, asking them to list their achievements or face termination. “Can he do that?” Raddatz inquired.
Christie quickly responded, “No, he cannot. Let’s break this down, Martha. First, from a legal standpoint, what Musk is attempting is a massive overreach. He’s asking people to justify their work from the previous week and using that as the grounds to decide if someone should keep their job or not. Employment isn’t something that’s always steady week to week, and if someone were fired because Musk didn’t think their work from one week was up to standard, they’d have very little, if any, legal grounds to stand on in court. The government simply wouldn’t have a solid legal argument to back up such an action.”
Christie continued, pointing out that from a managerial perspective, the situation was chaotic. “As a former governor, I can tell you this is a real mess. For example, we saw FBI Director Kash Patel telling his team not to respond to the questionnaire. His directive was clear: any evaluations would be handled internally by the FBI. The same message came from the National Security Agency and the acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia. People are going in different directions, offering contradictory advice. This points to a broader problem. Musk’s approach, wielding a metaphorical chainsaw, as he did during a political event in Washington, D.C., is much more complicated than he seems to realize. Managing the government isn’t that simple. Hopefully, they’ll manage to get things in order eventually.”

This coming from the guy who couldn’t resist punishing his political opponents (and allies who weren’t vociferous enough).
When will this overstuffed buffoon speaker of nonsense realize he’s the useless foolish robot of the left wing democrats?
It’s such a shame that Governor Krispy Kreme doesn’t realize that nobody really likes him and he lets his Trump Derangement Syndrome get the best of him.
Granted he did some good things in New Jersey, but he did awfully stupid things too, things that a Democrat would do!
Thanks Governor, we do need to hear other voices, both from within the GOP and outside of it. Those with extensive experience, such as yourself, are especially important and welcome.
This fat oaf should stop going in public and bite the hands that fed him. What an ingrate.
Put another donut in that pie hole of yours. That way we won’t have to listen to any more of your looser TDS nonsense.
you guys are wasting your time with all this nonsense . because hashem runs the world and chris christie is an meshugana.
