Clashes in Egypt Kill 36

egypt1The fall of Morsi doesn’t mean political violence in Egypt has ended. Far from it: in clashes in several cities on Friday, at least 36 people were killed and 400 injured as Morsi’s supporters held a day of protests. As a consequence, the country’s interim president, Adly Mansour, reportedly met for the first time with the country’s army chief and interior minister today. It is the first time Mansour has worked outside of the presidential offices since he was sworn in on Thursday.

Meanwhile, as previously reported by Matzav.com, Morsi’s party, the Muslim Brotherhood, already tried its smear campaign against the new president, claiming Mansour is Jewish and part of an elaborate conspiracy between Israel and the U.S. Read more.
