Polls in local Yerushalayim councils in which a mayoral election runoff was held closed at 10:00 p.m. tonight and the vote counting began, Arutz Sheva reports.

A close battle is emerging between Ofer Berkovitch and Moshe Lion. Initially, Berkovitch led by nine percent over Leon, but after most of the polling stations were counted, the gap narrowed and now Lion leads by 1 percent.

To this point, 191,000 votes have been counted, constituting 95 of the polling stations in Yerushalayim.
