After CNN abruptly cut Blitzer's feed, vomit-like sounds could be heard and the host didn't return for the remainder of the show. However, Blitzer assured fans on X later in the evening that he was "fine."

Following an unsettling moment during an interview, CNN swiftly transitioned to a commercial break as anchor Wolf Blitzer displayed discomfort while speaking with House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin on Thursday.

As Raskin, a Democrat from Maryland, discussed the controversy surrounding Donald Trump’s potential inclusion on the Colorado ballot, Blitzer’s facial expressions indicated apparent discomfort, suggesting he was struggling to contain nausea during the live broadcast.

Approximately a minute after what seemed to be an attempt to suppress a physical reaction, CNN abruptly cut Blitzer’s feed, allowing Raskin to continue speaking uninterrupted. Background sounds resembling retching could be heard as the network switched to a commercial break, a moment initially reported by Mediaite.

Upon returning from the break, CNN’s chief legal affairs correspondent, Paula Reid, assumed Blitzer’s position in front of the iconic “The Situation Room” backdrop, informing viewers of Blitzer’s temporary absence due to feeling unwell before proceeding with the program.

In response to inquiries from Washington Post’s media reporter Will Sommer, CNN attributed Blitzer’s departure from the broadcast to not feeling his best during Thursday night’s anchoring duties.

Blitzer did not make a reappearance before the conclusion of his 6 p.m. weeknight slot, prompting concern from viewers on social media platforms regarding his well-being.

Some social media users humorously linked Blitzer’s departure to Raskin’s remarks, joking that the congressman’s statements were nauseating enough to prompt such a reaction.

Following the incident, Blitzer reassured viewers via social media platform X, stating, “I’m fine! Thanks for the well wishes. I’ll see you back in the Situation Room soon.”

  1. These guys all have trump derangement syndrome and are unable to have a rational discussion because of that, about his decisions and policies.

Therefore any discussion they do engage in about trump has no value as it is all skewed by their syndrome and is one big waste of time.

  3. Let Blitzer fly to central Khan Yunis. I heard they have excellent medical care over there. Wolf should show support for his poor downtrodden innocent Palestinian brothers and sisters.
