powellColin Powell, the first African American chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, criticized the fact that a Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty of murder in the death of Trayvon Martin.

“I think that it will be seen as a questionable judgment on the part of the judicial system down there, but I don’t know if it will have staying power,” Powell said on CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday. Powell’s comments came on the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

Powell also said that President Obama should talk more about race relations in America. “I’d like to see him be more passionate about race questions,” Powell said. Read more at USA Today.
