Former FBI Director James Comey on Sunday blasted President Trump for “lying” after Trump tweeted about an FBI raid of his former lawyer, Michael Cohen.

In a tweet shared with a screenshot of Trump’s tweet, Comey also criticized Republicans for not speaking out against the president.

“This is from the President of our country, lying about the lawful execution of a search warrant issued by a federal judge,” Comey tweeted. “Shame on Republicans who don’t speak up at this moment — for the FBI, the rule of law, and the truth.”

Trump tweeted earlier Sunday that the FBI “broke into” Cohen’s office when they seized documents in April from his home, office and hotel room.

  1. From someone who obtained a fisa warrant by misrepresenting the facts he should keep his filthy mouth shut because he is the apitomy of corruption

    • Exactly. Scooter Libby was sentenced to 30 months in prison, and this Democrat leaker, Comey, gets to fly around the country making money off of his stupid book. Talk about a corrupt double standard. It’s too bad Jeff Sessions knifed the American taxpayers in the back and let this bum off the hook.

  2. Whatever the corrupt democrats do is always excused for one reason or another no matter what damage occurs from their actions while any republicans are excoriated no matter how trivial their actions may be

Sh! He doesn’t think we the public are smart enough to figure that out! Don’t burst his bubble! Don’t blow his cover!

  4. Did Comey really complain about the wording? Does Comey even understand how he sounds? He doesn’t like the phrase “broke into”? So how did the FBI execute this search warrant? Did they ask Cohen please go to your office and bring us your files? Or did the FBI FBI break into Cohen’s office and seize what they wanted? All over TV I see the same wording – the police broke into the residence to arrest John Doe. That is, with an arrest warrant, they still “broke into”.
