The IDF and ISA successfully neutralized the top figures of Hamas’ Nuseirat Battalion through an airstrike.
Ismail Siraj, the Commander of Hamas’ Nuseirat Battalion, and his Deputy Commander, Ahmed Wehbe, were eliminated in an IAF strike conducted under the direction of the Southern Command, with the guidance of the IDF Military Intelligence Directorate and the ISA on Friday night.
Ismail Siraj served as a Company Commander in Hamas’ Nukhba Unit and was involved in manufacturing rockets. His counterpart, Ahmed Wehbe, stepped into the Deputy Commander role after the IDF and ISA eliminated the battalion’s previous Deputy Commander, Abd Al-Rahman Abed, in the early weeks of the conflict.
Wehbe had diverse roles, both in the field and within Hamas’ staff, including contributing to the terrorist organization’s training program. Additionally, he played a crucial role in planning and executing terrorist attacks against Israel from the Gaza Strip.
The Nuseirat Battalion, led by Ismail Siraj, played a significant role in the violent invasion and massacre orchestrated by Hamas on October 7th.
