Contested Election Protests Plan To Deliver ‘Dose of Democracy’

Activists groups led by Black Lives Matter and ShutDownDC plan to take to the streets to show opposition if President Donald Trump does not concede the election or challenges the election results, and “deliver a dose of democracy,” Fox News reported.

Also, Choose Democracy has outlined plans to enact a “pressure campaign” on leaders “to publicly commit to ensuring that all votes are counted & the results are respected,” according to the group’s website.

There have been reports the group’s plans have been in the works for months, including training sessions, according to the report.

Washington, D.C., New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle and Portland have seen some demonstrations and unrest overnight amid the election counting.
