In light of rumors about the state of health of Rav Chaim Shlomo Leibowitz, rosh yeshiva of Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, doctors have confirmed that the rosh yeshiva is hospitalized in serious condition in the intensive care unit at Sheba hospital in Tel Hashomer and that there has been no change in his condition in recent hours.
The doctors stressed that Rav Leibowitz is still in extremely critical condition and undergoing antibiotic treatment. The physicians stated that the next 24 hours are “critical.”
Tonight, a late-night atzeres tefillah is scheduled to be held at Ponvezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, with the recital of the Shlosh Esrei Middos led by the roshei yeshiva, Rav Gershon Edelstein and Rav Berel Povarsky.
All are asked to continue davening for Rav Chaim Shlomo ben Tzaita Leah.
