Sixth grade students of the Ilanot state religious school in Herzliya had a school exhibit which included crosses and figurines. This was an attempt of the school to bring to life the Education Ministry’s compulsory requirement to teach children a chapter in their history textbook titled, “Christianity, a New Religion in Eretz Yisroel.”

Parents said the exhibition was symptomatic of a municipality funds the work of Reform and Conservative organizations in schools, while keeping away traditional Judaism including even the program of the Prime Minister’s Office for youth bar mitzvahs.
