Cuomo Administration Seeks to Promote Kosher Food Manufacturing in New York State

andrew-cuomoSenior administration officials of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo are anxious to promote the increased manufacture of kosher food products in New York State. In a meeting with Menachem Lubinsky, founder and co-producer of Kosherfest and President & CEO of Lubicom Marketing, the officials recognized that the state is host to some of the largest kosher markets outside of Israel.

The officials included Patrick Hooker, NYS Commissioner of Agriculture and Markets, Andrew Kennedy, Governor Cuomo’s Assistant Secretary for Economic Affairs, Liz Harris, Assistant Secretary for Agriculture and Markets, and David Lobel the Administration’s liaison to the Jewish community. Also participating was Abe Eisner of GFI Funding, a well known businessman and community leader with close ties to the Cuomo Administration. In a statement, Commissioner Hooker said: “I look forward to surfacing opportunities to improve the quality and quantity of locally produced kosher foods to the benefit of everyone in New York.”
