Summer day camps will reopen June 29, Cuomo announced Tuesday. However, the state has not decided yet on whether sleep-away camps will resume.

Cuomo said Monday the level of positivity is down, citing that the state conducted about 50,000 coronavirus tests Sunday, with less than 1,000 coming back as positive.

“That is the lowest number we have had since this began and when we began we were only doing 3,000 or 4,000 tests,” Cuomo said Monday. “The progress is just phenomenal.”

  1. the big question is ” WHAT STRINGS ATTACHED” ?
THE SIDE EFFECT OF DC IS directly affects the ” country situation” if colonies cannot make daycamps many will choose to stay here
if colonies can have daycamps & CAMPS DONT OPEN that flips the deal again ?
one more question is if daycamps can open means mesivtos can open , now IF your sons mesivta is open in the city and ( no sleepaway camp) what happens then

  2. Don’t be fooled. All that was said is that day camps can open. However the health department has not issued their rules about if sports and swimming will be permitted. So far neither of those are permitted and it is NOT the Governors decision. Its the NYS health department decision. So don’t celebrate yet.

  3. if sleepaway camps are not open i dont know wht hope ther is for my kids productive life. THIS IS WHAT WE NEED NOW!!! GET THE MESSAGE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
