
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has fended off a left-flank challenge led by Cynthia Nixon in a Democratic primary today, affirming the power of the governor’s centrist brand and a path for a potential presidential run.
The Associated Press said that with 37% of precincts reporting, Mr. Cuomo won 66% of the vote, compared with 34% for Ms. Nixon.
