Gov. Andrew Cuomo is postponing his planned trip to Israel amid ongoing violence on its border with Gaza, his spokeswoman said.
Cuomo, a Democrat seeking a third term in a contested race, said last week that he hoped to travel to Israel to show solidarity after forces allied with Iran launched missiles into the northern part of the Middle East nation.
Cuomo has taken several official trips to Israel, including one in 2014 as he campaigned for a second term.
