The learners of Daf Yomi are making their way ever closer to the next Siyum Hashas, which will take place, iy”H, on August 2, 2012, just a few days after Tisha B’Av. With 2,711 pages in the Gemara, one cycle of Daf Yomi takes about 7 years, 5 months. Daf Yomi started its current, 12th cycle on March 2, 2005.

Maseches Bava Basra is the third of the three “Bavamesechtos in Shas in Seder Nezikin. It deals with a person’s responsibilities and rights as the owner of property, and is recognized as one of the more difficult mesechtos in Shas.
