Daily Aspirin Suggested to Fight Cancer

bayer aspirinThe United States Preventive Services Task Force recommended Monday that a daily low-dose aspirin may help prevent heart attacks and colorectal cancer in at-risk people aged 50 to 69.

According to a report issued by the task force, the benefits afforded by taking a daily aspirin outweigh the risks of side effects, which include bleeding in the stomach and brain, as well as hemorraghic strokes.

The recommendation doesn’t apply to people outside those age groups and is weakened for people in their sixties, who have a higher risk of stomach bleeding. Read more at The New York Times.
