20090213_raffleEzra and Dara Friedman were presented with a check for $100,000 at the offices of Yeshiva Darchei Torah, having won the raffle drawing that took place at the yeshiva’s recent annual dinner. Rav Yaakov Bender, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Darchei Torah, opened the winning raffle ticket at the event. The raffle, for the ownership of an apartment in Yerushalayim, included an option to take $100,000 cash, tax-free, instead of the apartment, and the Friedmans chose that option.  The winning ticket was bought by Mrs. Friedman, nee Cohen, when she was still single and living in West Hempstead. She recently married Mr. Friedman, of Oceanside, an alumnus of Yeshiva Darchei Torah.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have won this raffle,” Ezra says. “We have much hakoras hatov to Hashem, and to Darchei, for making it possible.”
