In conjunction with the BillionGraves database, the MyHeritage online genealogy company has completed the digitalized record of every kever in Israel.

The massive task involved entering over 1.5 million kevorim of 638 cemeteries into a searchable database. Each kever has a GPS marker and can be found with a smartphone.

  1. Great job but there are problems you should be aware of. It is about the transliteration från the Hebrew to the western alphabet. The Hebrew names does only have the consonants. There are no vowels on the gravestones. And when you only have the name of a person written in a western alphabet you will run into trouble finding the grave. I know because a friend of mine did that.
