Mayor Bill de Blasio was shouted down with boos and shouts of when he tried to take the podium at a George Floyd protest in Brooklyn on Thursday.
The heckling was so intense, the mayor kept his remarks under five minutes, and then was no longer seen on the stage.
“Black lives matter in New York,” the mayor attempted to say at the protest at Cadman Plaza at the base of the Brooklyn Bridge.
“Not to you!” one heckler shouted.

gotta feel bad for the guy, he doesnt know when to quit. You cant try please everyone because then everyone will hate you (beside the problem of it being [almost always] plain wrong). Thats the retribution to a “chonef”.
Why did he allow thousands of people at this funeral, and personally intervened to stop a Jewish funeral a few weeks ago?
Poor guy.
Everybody hates him.

The protesters are right. This corrupt Mayor has not done anything to stop the systematic police brutality in his NYPD. Actions speak louder than words. Nothing has changed. Nothing will change. Police brutality against blacks and Orthodox Jews continues unabated. The only difference is, most aren’t caught on videotape and don’t go public. If there wasn’t a private cellphone video of the murder of Mr. Floyd NO ONE WOULD OF FOUND OUT! Police brutality happens every day in this Country and the public, and even family members, never finds out about it. Right now as we speak, there are dozens and dozens of NYPD officers that have a record of abuse and brutality, BUT YET ARE STILL ON THE FORCE! DeBlasio has not fired a single officer since these demonstrations across the country started. It’s always AFTER THE FACT, that it’s revealed that this and this cop have a bad rap sheet. The protesters and even Jumanee Williams were correct in shouting out that the Mayor doesn’t care. He simply doesn’t.
I used to live in Monsey, NY. The police that serve the town of Ramapo of which Monsey and Spring Valley are part, are professional, smart, efficient and gentlemen-like. I don’t believe they are the only ones in he nation who have these traits. So cut out “police brutality”, “police brutality”.
Besides, their job is hard. They’ve got to deal with the lowest of America’s on a daily basis. How is it, we never praise them for their good work? Without their good work, the rioters would have finished us long ago.
Main reason bad cops, bad teachers, and con artist civil workers aren’t fired. UNIONS!!! NY is a right to work state, unless you are in a union.
