De Blasio: NYC Can ‘Only Get To Monday Or Tuesday’ With Current Ventilator Supply

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio on Friday warned that New York City would run out of its supply of ventilators by Monday or Tuesday, as it tries to combat the coronavirus outbreak.

“I don’t know after Sunday if we’re going to have what we need, and that’s just the ventilators,” de Blasio told CNN’s John Berman. De Blasio said that officials predict that the city will have 5,000 ICU COVID-19 patients that require ventilators.

The mayor added that the city was in dire need of medical personnel as well.
