Debate Commission to Roll Out ‘Additional Tools’ to Keep Order

The presidential debate commission says it will soon adopt changes, including adding “additional tools,” to its format to avoid a repeat of Tuesday night’s disjointed first meeting between President Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden.

In a statement Wednesday, The Commission on Presidential Debates said the chaos that occured on the stage Tuesday night will result in “additional structure” for the remaining debates ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

“The Commission on Presidential Debates sponsors televised debates for the benefit of the American electorate. Last night’s debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues,” the statement reads.
