US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin was transported to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center near Washington today due to symptoms of what the Pentagon described as an urgent bladder issue.

According to the Defense Department, the White House has been informed, and Austin is maintaining his responsibilities as the leader of the Pentagon.

At 70 years old, Austin’s actions have come under examination regarding his choice to withhold information about his prostate cancer diagnosis and recent hospital stay from both White House and Pentagon authorities, including President Biden.

It appears that the defense secretary attempted to keep his admission to Walter Reed on January 1st concealed after experiencing complications stemming from a surgery in December to address prostate cancer.
