Gavin Newsom survived a Republican attempt to remove him from office as California’s governor, ensuring that the Democrat can serve out the rest of his term as the top official in the nation’s most populous state, according to an NBC News projection.
Polls for in-person voting closed at 11 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Voters had been submitting mail-in ballots for a few weeks ahead of time.
The gubernatorial recall effort was the second in California’s history to qualify for the ballot, giving Republicans a chance to seize power in an otherwise deep-blue state.
Voters were asked two questions: should Newsom be replaced, and if he is recalled, who out of his 46 opponents in the election should take his place?
Newsom, who was elected by an overwhelming margin in 2018 to a term that would end in 2023, spent months trying to fend off the Republican-led effort that gained traction last year over allegations that he mishandled the state’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Nearly 1.5 million Californians signed the recall petition due to frustrations over state-issued health orders and the appearance of a maskless Newsom at a dinner party during the height of surging Covid cases.

RIGGED election just like all of the DemocRATS elections
This was to be expected, if you saw the news story yesterday that, when people arrived to vote, they were told that “they had already voted”.
The “news” reports that Newsom “won” the special election, which means that the majority of the voters in California voted to NOT recall him (Fox News gives the latest count as 63.92% “NO” vs 36.08% “YES” and thus has the headline: “The No’s have it”), ARE ALL OUTRIGHT LIES!!
It was glaringly obvious that the vast majority of the people of the state wanted him out. At big campaign events for him where Joseph Biden came to help him, there are videos that show the streets outside packed with thousands of people protesting against him and Biden, and not a single Democrat supporter is in sight!
Just less than a year ago, the severely wicked “Deep State” with their severely wicked voter/election officials performed a LITERAL MASTERPIECE of manufacturing a totally fabricated election “win” for their puppet servant, Joseph Biden. (They had a large number of good quality copy machines, each one which churned out thousands of copies of one pro-Biden ballot, and then put those thousands of ballot copies in as thousands of pro-Biden votes. They did many, many other tricks too to make the false win, but that is not the subject now.)
This time around in California though, they pulled off an EVEN MORE brilliant performance to fabricate an election “win” for their severely wicked servant, Gavin Newsom, Yimach Shemo V’Zichro. For in this particular election, they did not need to worry too much about the difficult task of playing around with and changing around votes that already been voted, for (in this election) they had already done the playing and changing around the votes BEFORE the votes had been voted!!
Yes, BEFORE the people voted, the Deep State operatives went into the computerized records of the countless thousands of registered voters WHOM THEY KNEW WERE CONSERVATIVE ORIENTED and (falsely) marked their records that they had voted. So, when these conservative people later came to their polling places, the poll worker told each of them: “The computer says that you already voted!” When each one replied that this was wrong, for he had NOT yet voted, the poll worker replied: “But there is nothing I can do! The computer says you voted and will not let me put in your vote now!”
In this fiendish way, the Deep State PREVENTED countless thousands of thousands of thousands of “Yes – Recall Newsom” votes from ever getting in.
