Texas Democrats officially fled the state Capitol to break the quorum in a special session to address election integrity legislation.
GOP Gov. Greg Abbott called out Democrats’ “partisan political games,” and mocked the hypocrisy of climate-change activist liberals fleeing “on cushy private planes.”
“It’s time to get back to work,” Abbott tweeted Monday, saying fleeing Democrats abandoned the people they were elected “to serve.”
Abbott noted Democrats might have the intention of blocking election integrity measures, but they also abandoned important work on issues like:
- Property tax relief.
- Funding to support Sheriffs and law enforcement in high crime areas.
- Funding for children in foster care.
- Funding for retired teachers.

The truth is that these elected officials represent strictly themselves, and their own political ambitions.
WHERE ARE THE MASKS?
And of course the do as I say not as I do Democrats seem to believe flying for themselves is safe without masks but not safe for the sheeple,
They are on salary to fulfill their job as elected representative. They may vote their position. But their job is to be present and vote. And if the bill gets passed against their vote, that’s the majority rule. But these Dems are interested in their party power more than in their constituents. I hope they return to get arrested. And that their districts vote them out next election.
