Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu is resolute in his determination to pass the Reasonableness Standard Bill, which seeks to limit the application of the judicial doctrine of reasonableness. The bill is scheduled for its second and third readings in the Knesset on Monday.
Shas chairman Aryeh Deri expressed his support for Prime Minister Netanyahu’s efforts, stating, “I am standing alongside Prime Minister Netanyahu, and we are making every possible endeavor to reach some form of understanding – as there is nothing more valuable than unity and agreement in these times.”
However, Deri also emphasized their determination to see the limiting of the reasonableness doctrine become law, whether through consent or, if necessary, without consent, by the end of the Knesset session.
After the votes on the bill, Netanyahu is expected to embark on his first foreign trip in four months. He will visit Cyprus on Tuesday and Turkey on Friday.
Meanwhile, Benny Gantz, the chairman of the National Unity Party, addressed a demonstration opposing the judicial reform in Givat Shmuel last night. Gantz highlighted that while Netanyahu may have a majority of 64 seats, he lacks the majority support from the public to dismantle democracy and divide the nation. Gantz urged Netanyahu to be a true leader by listening to the citizens and making responsible decisions. He called for an agreement to be reached and warned of potential disaster on the eve of Tisha B’Av if extremism prevails.

Gantz is a yid who keeps some mitzvot but supports political moves that divide the nation.
surprise b gantz. The public elected this government to pass the reform. Stop whining and face the facts….YOU LOST the election!
“Gantz highlighted that while Netanyahu may have a majority of 64 seats, he lacks the majority support from the public to dismantle democracy and divide the nation.” This is TOTALLY FALSE. The majority of 64 seats, is the majority of the public !! It is YOUR public who are destroying !! The Left, the minority, headed by the criminal court of injustice have more chutzpah.
