Trump’s contribution is enormous: he formulated the Washington-corruption problem and he started a war against the establishment. However, formulating a problem is often a different skill set than finding a solution, as was evident with Trump’s consistent hiring failures, lack of mass bureaucrat-class firings, and attempts to compromise with the establishment. DeSantis is the guy who exhibited both a willingness to fight a total war against the socialist-fascists, a tactical knowledge and a strategic approach to the business of governance jiu-jitsu. Trump is a discoverer and an explorer, while DeSantis is a field marshal. Both have a role to play at an appropriate time. Trump fulfilled his function with honor, now it’s DeSantis to pick up the baton and continue the relay race. If Trump will try to push DeSantis down, it will show that he is playing for himself as opposed to his team, and it will irrevocably tarnish his great legacy.
