The condition of Rav Chaim Shlomo Leibowitz, rosh yeshiva of Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, has deteriorated and he is in critical condition.
The rosh yeshiva remains at the intensive care unit at Sheba hospital in Tel Hashomer.
The rosh yeshiva has been hospitalized for last two months. He is suffering from severe respiratory distress despite being connected to a respirator. The next day or two are critical, doctors say.
Various atzeres tefillah gatherings have been held at the Ponovezh Yeshiva, where there is great concern about the rosh yeshiva’s condition.
All are asked to continue davening for Rav Chaim Shlomo ben Tzaita Leah.
