  1. Come on? The fact is that when we are begging for a Yeshuah and Brious Haguf, we only have in mind the Choilei Am Yisroel. Yes, we do exclude Non-Yidden from our Teffilos.
And do you know Who is the most upset with these selfish Tefillos, the Reboino Shel Olom, the creator of all Humanity. He wants, the people He created, to care and empathize with All their fellow Human Beings.

    • First of all, I understand fully your compassionate heart and the degree to which you pain for all those who find themselves in bad health.
Secondly, I am sure you are aware that the tefilos were put in order by the Anshei Kinesses HaGedolah made up of 120 sages many of whom were prophets. As well meaning as your sympathy is, admittedly it is hard to see how such tefilos could anger, pain, or otherwise hurt the Ribono shel Olam.
Thirdly, the tefilah for refuah referencing Jews specifically, is referring to refuah which comes from specifically the relationship concretized at Yetzias Mitzrayim – that if we will keep the Torah, kol ha’machalah asher Samti b’Mitzrayim, lo Asim alecha, ki Ani HaShem rofecha! This has little to do with bigotry of any form. It is a request to look at how “we have kept our part of the bargain” so to speak. Certainly requests for healthy non-Jews would not be tied to shmiras ha’mitzvos.
Finally, HaShem is clear as to what angers him. This is not listed.

  2. True. But because only the outliers will generate clicks, we as a community need to shame (within our community) those outliers who are making things bad for the rest of us.
They should never get an aliya again. They should never be able to do a shiduch again. They should never be able to walk into a kosher grocery store again.
They have caused massive anti semitism. I hope they didn’t cause any yidden to die in the future due to this new antisemitism they caused.

  3. I know what I write won’t be accepted by non jews or by jews who I’m sad to say look at things like black and white. First of all, yes I think it’s a big kiddish Hashem to go to the various funds set up and see the MILLIONS of dollars donated by people who didn’t know the nifter until his name was put up. Second, no one is justifying anything anyone does, but the fact is these levayos weren’t organized levayos. Each person came as an individual. Some of the commenters make it sound like these gatherings are deliberate attempts to go against the rules. Third, many people in our community don’t listen to the radio, have internet, whatever they know is hearsay and this is especially true for buchrim. Fourth don’t besmirch an entire community I know many people who literally haven’t stepped out of their homes in three weeks. This may not make people like us better but at least a jew should put things in perspective.

  4. The reason is clear , when someone sees someone else doing a Mizvah it bothers him as he as well deep down knows he wants to help. In order not to feal bad he has to downgrade the person who did the Mizvah.

    • Oh wow, so when we use horrible words like Shegetz, Shiksa, Bei Im Zol Es Bleiben, or Oif Alleh Goyim Gezogt, Etc Etc, we are only talking about our Shmiras Hamitzvos. Very interesting.
