The Emes LeYaakov human rights group urged for disciplinary proceedings against Israel Railways CEO Michael Maixner for an insulting statement about the chareidi public.
On the night before Rav Chaim Kanievsky’s levayah, when tens of thousands were streaming to Bnei Brak, Maixner stated, “What will keep these dossim (a derogatory term for chareidim) off the tracks? Two brave girls who will walk back and forth on the yellow line — believe me, everyone will stand in place.”
“Gone are the days when the chareidim were a punching bag for anyone to attack and insult,” Emes LeYaakov stated.
