Dow Drops Nearly 500 Points As Stock Slide Deepens

Markets were screaming red in Monday’s trading session, continuing a steep decline that started Feb. 1.

By 1:30 p.m. ET, the Dow Jones industrial average had fallen much as 480 points. The S&P 500 fell 39.15 points, to 2,722.98, and the Nasdaq fell 76.84 points, to 7,164.11.
