Dr. Anthony Fauci said Thursday that it would be possible for people to gather in synagogues for the Yomim Noraim in the fall if contact tracing is implemented to avoid a second wave of the pandemic.

Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, made the comments in a conference call organized by the Orthodox Union, where OU executive vice president Rabbi Moshe Hauer brought up several viable options that would allow restarting shuls, such as having people wear masks, holding multiple services with stagger start times so as to limit attendance to 10, and have people stand eight feet apart.”

“There will almost certainly be virus around in the fall and winter,” Dr. Fauci told the callers. “Whether there’s a second wave or not will depend on our preparedness and our ability, when infections reappear, if we can put the lid on them by identification, isolation and contact tracing. If we have that in place in September, October, November, even though there could be cases, we should be able to handle it.”

  1. Please take the time to listen to Dr. Bush. It may be hard to follow at the beginning but it is worth the effort. The interview begins at the 56:20 mark. After you finish it, think about what he said and whether the draconian measures being forced upon all American citizens makes sense to you.

The founder and current director of M Clinic in Virginia, Dr. Bush was President of his medical school class at the University of Colorado Health and later became Chief Resident for the department of Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia. Among the few physicians in the nation that is triple board certified, he completed training and certification in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism, as well as in Hospice and Palliative care. Dr. Bush has published peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the areas of infectious disease, endocrinology, and cancer. Through his practice and unique methodology, he has seen significant clinical improvements in patients with everything from Leaky Gut Syndrome, Gluten Intolerance, Autism, Type 2 Diabetes, Autoimmune conditions such as Crohn’s Disease, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

  2. So far every prediction has proven to be inaccurate. Sometimes reality was much worse and sometimes much better.

If a vaccine or cure is found between now and then then whole thing is moot. Or if the epidemic goes away as all epidemics eventually do sooner or later.

    • #1 Fauci’s “prediction” (aka threat) of Trump facing a surprise infectious disease outbreak came true.
#2 No sane person would inject dangerous vaccines containing chemicals and fetal tissues into their body if it’s not a cure, even if it comes out between now and then.
#3 Plandemics are not epidemics and only go away when those who started it, stop it.

  3. Never has any solutions other than stay home. He blocks hdc “we do not know the side effects”, “we need double blind controlled study”. He’d probably put a pacemaker in everybody over 50 just for safety.

  4. If ten men can be in a park and stay six feet away from each other wearing their masks, why can’t ten men go to a shul parking lot with their masks on and daven in a minyan six feet apart? If ten men can be in a liquor store buying wines and whiskey at the same time, why can’t ten men be in a shul (larger than a liquor store) at the same time davening with their masks on six feet apart?

How many more rights need to be taken away from us before we all decide to join the hundreds across the country who are holding “lock down” protests? As this doctor said, The Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were designed to restrict the government, not restrict the people. • The issue is, many are just recklessly dumb, they are not careful enough. Theoretically, you are correct, practically not.
Staying and standing outdoors limits the gathering and contact to a minimum, whereas, once inside sets all up to a potential disaster.

We are dealing with Pikuach nefashos here! Not something you apply some cute sevarah.

      • Pikuach nefesh? If you’re not standing along with them, what does it bother you if 10 men stand together? As if politicians and scientists don’t stand together and without masks. Look at videos. The sevarah is: You’re so brainwashed and gullible, it’s embarrassing.

  5. Rabbi Akiva Eiger limited the shul to 15 per minyan and Rabbi Chaim Halberstam of Sanz davened Rosh Hashana in a small minyan where the whole mussaf shemoneh esreh took him 15 minutes. We are not like those liquor consumers. We are looking to do the right thing. We follow the Rabbis and that has given us life and continuity for thousands of years without liquor and separate from those who hold it to be essential.

  6. I went to the Forward article and saw this:

Fauci also answered several questions about how synagogues could transition to opening up safely. Most states have still banned synagogues and other houses of worship from opening, and in states where they are legally allowed to do so, literally no shuls have opened their doors.

OU executive vice president Rabbi Moshe Hauer, who moderated the discussion, said that their synagogues were already planning on having people wear masks, hold multiple services with stagger start times so as to limit attendance to 10, and have people stand eight feet apart — farther than the recommended six feet, because with Jews, “eight feet becomes six feet.”

“The kind of social interaction that is the core of the beauty of your culture has unfortunately led to a situation of higher risk,” Fauci agreed.

He agreed with Hauer’s proposals and also suggested that synagogues slowly open up for minyanim in stages — for example, once a day five days a week, rather than three times a day every day — and that synagogues in hard-hit areas like New York should operate more cautiously than shuls in areas with less infection.

The doctor also recommended that elderly people and others with high-risk factors should be “the last people” allowed to return to synagogues as part of their phased reopenings.
    ==========
So are shuls allowed to open now with the guidelines that Rabbi Hauer suggested?

  7. We should be davening in compliant shuls and we should be learning in compliant batei medrash. Responsible minyanim should be going on on every block.

We’re not supposed to protest though – we’re in galus. We need to lay low. Not because we’re sheep going to the slaughter, cv”s, but because we don’t belong in the public eye – especially after the very negative attention and lack of trust that came out of the poor behavior of a few rogues.

We must be vigilant, but in a diplomatic way. The OU is doing that and we thank them dearly.

  8. Why do we see Fauci, Birx and the whole crew not wearing gloves or masks, standing right next to each other and patting people on the back every day in the press conferences, yet everybody else needs to keep the rules?
    Am I missing something?

    • I don’t care whether or not Fauci, Trump and others don’t wear masks. They can’t contagiate me anyway from behind a LCD screen. I do care about my own health and my family’s, which is why I did not wait for the government to enact restrictions.

  9. AIDS Scientist Judy Mikovits PhD SLAMS Dr. Anthony Fauci & Deborah Birx EXPOSES Medical Corruption

The evidence against FAUCI, BIRX, and the CDC, the FDA just keeps growing and growing.

WEARING A MASK ACTIVATES THE VIRUS.

A compelling testimony by Dr Judy Mikovits exposing Dr Fauci and his Plandemic co-conspirators as brutal and heartless profiteers who are quite literally responsible for the death of millions.

  10. Clowns are too tight. Have we seen an epidemic for popular mega fronts on television? Why not have the doctor on less often but wear his white jacket. We have degraded the simple thought of medical authority so much that if a man was on television in his white coat, the liberals would run funny comedy that the world was trying to pull a medical stunt to rule the bodies of the women and boys today. We really know that this is ugly.

Why not see doctors in their real trust. The white coat that they are had to be. We do not need to assess his public attire of the wealth the man has held. This is medicine, not boat farce. Where is the doctor?

  11. “The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prevents the government from making laws which regulate an establishment of religion, prohibit the free exercise of religion, or abridge the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the right to peaceably assemble, or the right to petition the…”

Were are planning on davening in our regular Shul this Shevuos. We have at least 15 chevra so far. If the police break in, illegally, to arrest us, there will be “civil unrest”. I’ll guarantee that. It will make the media. Our complete freedoms being stripped from us by government, police, MO doctors, certain “news” websites, etc… will only last so long. We’ve waited and had enough. No more. To all the mosrim, I say, drop dead.

  12. So far, almost everything Fauci has predicted was false. The man talks out of both sides of his mouth, alternating between tRying to calm people and frighten them out of their wits in an obvious campaign of fostering confusion.

Enough is enough. Shuls are responsibly opening up left and right all over as people realize the existential threat of keeping them closed.
