It seems eBay.com is going after Amazon, filing a lawsuit Wednesday (October 17) in which it contends Amazon illegally stole sellers from its own marketplace.

The Wall Street Journal, citing the lawsuit which was filed in Santa Clara County in California, reported eBay alleges Amazon has over the past several years “perpetrated a scheme to infiltrate and exploit eBay’s internal member email system.”

“For years, and unbeknownst to eBay, Amazon has been engaged in a systematic, coordinated effort to infiltrate and exploit eBay’s proprietary M2M system on eBay’s platform to lure top eBay sellers to Amazon,” eBay contends in the lawsuit, according to the Wall Street Journal. “The scheme is startling in breadth — involving large numbers of Amazon representatives (“Amazon reps”), targeting many hundreds of eBay sellers, and spanning several countries overseas and many states in the United States (including California)].”

  1. sore losers. its like the liberal media they cant accept that trump won so they try to undo it relentless. amazon came along and destroyed ebay legally ebay cant accept it so they sue, fake news etc. you think amazon has to poach sellers from ebay? ebay sellers went willingly there because thats where all the shoppers are

  2. e-Bay has no regard for users, whether buyers or sellers. It has no sense of market ethics. Their only mechanism is to incessantly add new rules. Amazon kicks ’em all when it comes to service, support, and consistency. The Paypal component couldn’t stand the e-Bay system and bolted successfully. I think this fantasy of shaking down Amazon is little more than rigor mortis. They’re just plain stupid, incompetent, and unethical.
