Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins informed reporters on Tuesday that egg prices have decreased by nearly $2 since the Trump administration’s implementation of a biosafety strategy aimed at addressing the H5N1 bird flu, which has severely impacted the poultry industry in recent months.
Toward the end of last month, Rollins revealed that the Department of Agriculture would allocate $1 billion to help lower egg prices and curb the spread of the highly pathogenic avian influenza.
As part of her plan, which may include importing up to 100 million eggs from international markets, Rollins also outlined efforts to support biosecurity practices on poultry farms and fund ongoing research into the effectiveness of preventive vaccines for poultry.
“We’re more focused on how we bring the price of eggs down and the avian bird flu for everyone,” Rollins told reporters Tuesday morning. “A good piece of news we just got in the last day or two is that the average cost of a dozen eggs has gone down $1.85 since we announced our plan about a week and a half ago.”
According to the USDA, the price for a dozen large white eggs stood at $6.08 as of Tuesday, marking a significant decrease. Earlier this month, prices had surpassed $8, and they were $6.27 on Inauguration Day.
A report from the USDA published in February revealed that egg prices had surged by approximately 53% since January 2024. Additionally, egg prices rose by nearly 14% from December to January, building on an 8% increase from November to December.
In recent months, around 160 million chickens have been euthanized due to the virus, playing a significant role in the sharp rise in egg prices.
The local stores have yet to reflect this change
As I have heard from people in the exits the current practice of killing off flocks of chicken out of fear of bird flu needs to stop.
There’s no reason to kill flocks of birds that have not been affected by virtually. When you have flocks of egg laying birds located in hen houses, these are sealed buildings with sufficient air being filtered in that they can all live comfortably, the bird flu getting in to these buildings is just about none. Yet, per current government rules, these chickens are killed.
Keep in mind these farms can have thousands of birds in the hen house, so when they are killed, even if the farmer gets fertilized eggs, it takes upwards of 4 months or so for them to become layers again.
This is part of what needs to be addressed!

On several of Matzav’s writeups about the egg situation, I posted remarks relating how my mother, Aleha Hashamom, and, Yibodla L’Chaim Tovim V’Aruchim, my older sister, went to some program at my sister’s elementary school, in which young girls put on a little skit with one of them singing a very babyish song about her doll having the flu. I pointed out, that, that super baby song about a doll having the flu, is INFINITELY more grown up and mature and real than all of these news broadcasts and news alerts and government “State of Emergency” declarations about chickens having the flu.
For a young girl playing with & “taking care” of her doll is really a totally positive activity that is is an essential part of her process of growing up. For she is thinking about and hoping for and looking forward to the day when she will be grown up like her grown up mother and be taking care of (instead of artificial plastic dolls) REAL CHILDREN, including when they are sick. So, now, even though she is not yet at that day, she is already pretending and rehearsing what it will be like & what she will be doing on that day.

However, the whole uproar of the supposed “crises” of chickens having the flu is obviously an absolute fabricated fabrication that was fabricated in order to give the agents of the One-Government-World-New-World-Order-gang, Yimach Shemam V’Zichram, the ability to implement their United Nations-Agenda-30 program to depopulate the world. Their screaming the alarm that everything has the flu, will give them the excuse they need to steal all our eggs, kill all our chickens, cull all our cattle, shut down all our farms, so that there will be no food around and we will all starve to death, Rachmana Litzlan!!
