Former prime minister Ehud Olmert criticized former agent Jonathan  Pollard on Sunday, saying he should not be welcomed in Israel.
Interviewed by Jerusalem Post editor-in-chief Yaakov Katz at the Maariv newspaper’s business conference on Sunday, Olmert cautioned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against holding a festive ceremony for Pollard when he moves to Israel soon.
“With all due respect, I would prefer that he not move to Israel,” Olmert said. “We don’t owe him anything. He was a spy who worked for a lot of money. He was not a ZiontistZionist volunteer who came and sacrificed his life. He was an American who loved Israel and worked for a lot of money, spying for Israel.”

  1. Maybe Olmert shouldn’t be recognized and welcomed in Israel. Let him go back to jail where he belongs. Jonathan Pollard is a yid who has a connection with Eretz Yisroel and therefore deserves to live in Eretz Yisroel. This country doesn’t belong to that sad excuse of a prime minister.

  2. We’d rather see Ehud Olmert back in prison for driving out thousands of Jews from Amona and for being an accomplice in Ariel Sharon’s crime of ousting almost 10,000 Jews from Jewish settlement Yehudah & Shomron.

  3. and who asked you?!?!?! Let the guy live out the rest of his life with his eishet chayil in eretz hakodesh. i agree no need for public fanfare, that can be kept to a minimum, but have some rachmanus on a guy who suffered for so long.. everyone makes mistakes.. ESPECIALLY olmert!

  5. So glad that all of us Yidden getting along so nicely with only nice things to say. Masks vs no masks, Biden vs Trump tried to split our achdus, good to see it failed, that we learned our lesson and only speak nicely about other Yidden.
